2025: Amsterdam is growing again?!​​

 

The first half of 2025 shows growth in Amsterdam's population that is roughly equal to the growth seen throughout 2024.

A negative net migration in 2024 meant that Amsterdam's

population grew virtually unchanged. Preliminary figures

for the first half of 2025 show that the population grew

roughly the same as in the entire previous year. The

figures indicate that this is mainly due to the enormous

increase in immigration from abroad. Domestic migration

is significantly higher than in previous years, but

international migration is lower.
